Kirk Syme and his partners purchased 1149 Chess Drive in 1987 as a sale-lease-back with Wyeth-Ayerst Laboratories. In 1999, it was leased to Applied BioSystems (Thermo Fisher Scientific). In 2015, Woodstock coordinated the design and approvals for the next generation of the building (see renderings).
